History
Ash grew up playing along to records with the bass turned up louder than anything else. She was drawn to the parts most people barely noticed: the little changes in rhythm, the notes that made a chorus lift, and the low-end pulse that held everything together. She played in local rock and alternative bands, learned to keep a groove steady through chaotic live sets, and developed a taste for thick, slightly dirty bass tones.
Joining GloRave gave her a new challenge. Nyx had already built a world of synth bass, 808s, and electronic textures, but the band wanted a dedicated player to bring a more physical, live-bass feel to its heavier material. Ash found her place between Sable's drums and Kaelith's guitars, working with Nyx rather than competing for the low end. The result is a rhythm section with more room to experiment and a harder impact when the full band kicks in.
Personality
Ash is outgoing, sharp-witted, and easy to talk to, right up until someone suggests that the bass doesn't matter. She enjoys teasing her bandmates, especially Sable, and has a habit of making a joke at exactly the wrong moment. She's confident without needing to be the loudest person in the room. In rehearsals, she listens closely, speaks plainly, and isn't afraid to say when a part needs work. She loves a good argument about tone, but she'll always help someone get the sound they're after. Under the sarcasm, she's dependable and fiercely supportive of her friends.

Inspirations
Ash takes inspiration from bands that know how much a strong rhythm section can change a song. Royal Blood showed her how bold and gritty a bass-driven sound could be, while Tool sparked her interest in hypnotic patterns and unusual rhythmic turns. She admires the precision and groove of Jinjer, as well as the space, atmosphere, and dynamic shifts in Deftones. Rather than copying any one sound, Ash takes those ideas into her own playing: solid low-end weight, memorable movement, and a feel for when to push forward or hold back.
